HMYOI Feltham (Reflex Woking)
The heart of the Reflex Woking project is to help young people develop their passions and realise their full potential through effective mentoring, supporting and signposting.
Reflex Woking work with marginalised young people in both the custodial and community setting by building positive relationships with young people and modelling acceptable behaviour. As well as linking in with the work of three local youth centres and partnering with local organisations such as the Princes Trust, local housing projects, local schools and other youth services, the Reflex Woking team provide Outreach support as well as deliver the myLife programme within HMP Feltham.
Within the community setting, their trained myLife Tutors deliver non-formal education throughout the week, allowing those young people who are not in education or training to progress back into the system thus reducing their risk of offending, gaining an accredited qualification and developing essential life skills that they can apply in everyday life. They also deliver Urban Skills courses allowing young people to express themselves in a positive and creative manner. Reflex Woking also deliver the Uncut programme allowing young people to explore faith issues.
