Downview is the one of the largest female prisons in Europe and holds some of the most vulnerable female prisoners in the prison system, a third of which are young adults. Through a varied programme of relational Outreach work, assisting in the delivery of the Sycamore Tree course, Chaplaincy support, and delivering the MyLife programme on a one-to-one basis, our Outreach Workers have a significant impact on the aspirations and behaviour of a number of young women. Linked to ‘Kahaila‘ a faith based community hub based within a café in East London – this project is innovative in its sustainable approach and delivery.
